The Needles.

The Needles and it`s Lighthouse. This is one of my favourite pictures I took myself. I was out fishing with my firm and we hired a chartered fishing boat. The camera was an Olympus OM10 with a standard 100 ASA film. There were no filters on the camera, just a standard shot. It was quite hard to keep the camera still while the boat was rocking and rolling. But it came out fantastic with quite alot of feeling and an eerie experience.

The Needles Lighthouse lies at the western gate to the Solent. Near Alum Bay and Freshwater.

The Needles used to be manned, but it now is automated.
