The Isle Of Wight.

Ryde Harbour. These two pictures I took while down at the harbour. The harbour is tidal, meaning that at low water the sand is exposed. The sea can almost go out to the end of the pier which is 1/2 a mile away.
Ryde Harbour has been here for a few years now. It is built on reclaimed land, as you can clearly see from the photo below. In the photos you can see Ryde Arena, which has an ice ring. Also you can see Ryde pier and L.A.Bowl, this is a 10 pin bowling alley.

A part of Ryde as seen from the air. This picture is from a local book about the Isle of Wight. It shows Ryde pier and the Harbour. You can see Ryde canoe lake at the bottom of the picture with L.A Bowl and Ryde Arena near the pier.
RYDE as seen from the air. This Picture was taken by a plane flying over my area. I live in a house, bottom left!
Below are pages for different towns and interests on the Island.
