The Church Pew.

During the last year I have aquired an 8 foot Church Pew!

Over the last year I have been sanding in down.

I used International Yacht Varnish Clear. Yacht varnish I thought would be a bit more toughter for wood being as it`s used for Yachts! We live on an Island and the salt in the atmosphere is quite corrosive.

It still needs one more coat of varnish to be 100% weather protected. I`ll try to do another coat before winter sets in.

As you can see from the photo`s. The ground around it is a bit messy at the moment. This is all in My `Master Plan`! Hopefully, I mean, It WILL be landscaped by next spring so I can actually relax on it.

All the things done in the pond area (fence seen as wooden squares on left of photo) are as natural as is possible. NO chemicals are used at all. It is a small garden for Nature and the local animals to feel at home with. They need all the help they can get, because in this country the builders seem to build on any little square bit of land they can find.
